Restoration and Conservation

Damage by vandalism to numerous sections of many windows at St  Michael, S Shields

Using all available fragments, as reference the sections are
re-created to original specifications and quality

Again details from fragments are copied to re-create, in this case a section of the cloak

Serious damage to lower window following further vandalism

This reconstruction to the lower window was re-created and assembled in part, then installed
to the window.  This eliminated removal of the full window panels  (approx. 4.5 M high).

Many similar examples of restoration / conservation from other churches including a 'Rose'
window are documented and photographed
